There are a number of ways in which you can volunteer at Only Connect. We have opportunities to work with our Members and support our fantastic team of case workers. You could also be a part of the back office team, supporting our research and fundraising.

Job Title: Receptionist Appointment: Part-Time:
Location: Only Connect Offices, 32 Cubitt Street, London WC1X 0LR
Salary Range: Volunteer Post. We will pay towards your travel and lunch
Hours: Ideally 1 to 2 days a week, this can be split between mornings and afternoons – as suitable for the candidate
About Only Connect: We are Only Connect. We’re on a mission to transform the lives of people with experience of the criminal justice system. We do this by helping Londoners aged 16+ to harness their own potential and progress in to education, training and employment (ETE).
About the Building: The charity, Only Connect is housed in a Grade II listed building, a former Baptist Chapel just a few minutes walk from Kings Cross / St Pancras tube station.
The building primarily houses two Charities 1. Only Connect and 2. Launch 22. It raises revenue from renting out a co-working and event space. Launch 22 is an organisation that supports entrepreneurs from all walks of life start their ‘dream job’.
The building also loans the space to a few other small charities and quirky /creative organisations.
Purpose Of Role: Your primary responsibility as the first point of contact for all companies will be to meet and greet and welcome all visitors coming into the building and to have knowledge of the companies housed here.
To take delivery of post and packages for staff
To help with event set up and hospitality requirements for meetings and events
To work alongside The Venue Manger and the Operations Manager, responsible for the running of the building
This job may also suit someone who is studying at University - During reception off peak times you will have the opportunity to carry on with your studies!
A building induction, first aid and fire warden awareness overview will be given to the successful candidate
